How to Dress for Confidence in Three Easy Steps
We all want to be confident in who we are, and many of us suffer from low confidence or self-esteem. There many steps one can take to becoming more confident in oneself, but one thing that can do wonders for an insecure individual is style. Here are some ways one can learn to use style to their advantage by choosing the items which they both feel and look great in.
1. Focus on Comfort
It is hard to feel confident when you do not feel comfortable. Stay away from clothing items which you feel the need to pull at and adjust and fabrics which are itchy or not weather appropriate. Instead pick items in colors which you feel comfortable in, that are in comfortable fabrics, and are weather appropriate. For example, if you have difficulty walking in heels or find you are always adjusting your tube top stay away from those items. If pink makes you feel happy, wear it! By focusing more on what you like you change your mindset to focus more on what makes you comfortable as an individual than on what others are wearing.
2. Focus on What Flatters You
Learn about your body shape and pay attention to the parts which you are proud of. Do you have amazing legs? Flaunt them! Do you get compliments on your waist often? Emphasize your waist. When you focus on what flatters you you will begin to celebrate your body which will help improve your confidence.
3. Experiment With Your Style
Is there something which you have always wanted to wear, but for some reason just haven't? Now is your chance! Wear it and have fun! Experimenting with your style will help you see yourself differently which can be a real confidence boost. Wearing something in a new style, which you love can expand your horizons and upgrade your style.
